How much does it cost to get a plumber?
At louthplumbers.ie we don’t charge a callout fee. Our charges are straightforward and transparent. There is a minimum charge of 1 hour on all jobs. We are always happy to give a quotation before we start any work. All rates exclude materials.
Do you do small jobs, or only full installations?
Both. A dripping tap is as welcome as a full bathroom. Small jobs are subject to the same one hour minimum charge, so it is often worth saving a few little jobs up for the one visit.
How do I find a hidden leak?
Signs to watch for are a damp patch or a warm spot on the floor, a musty smell, mould appearing in a corner, unexplained water pressure loss, or your water meter ticking over when everything is switched off. We use leak detection equipment to pin down the exact spot rather than pulling up floors to go looking.
Can you unblock an outside drain as well as a sink?
Yes. We clear internal wastes and external drains, and we clean out the grease and debris causing the blockage rather than just poking a hole through it so it blocks again next month.
Is all work fully insured?
Yes, all our work is fully insured. All our plumbers have Public Liability insurance up to €6,500,000, Products Liability insurance up to €6,500,000 and Employers Liability insurance up to €13,000,000. Every installation also comes with a 12-month guarantee.
